Junior Dirt Gloves was recalled on 10 February 2017 under EU Safety Gate alert A11/0019/17. Chemical risk reported by Norway. The synthetic rubber detail around the wrist and the synthetic rubber/plastic on the dorsal side of the gloves contain di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value 16% and 14% by weight respectively).

Risk Description

The synthetic rubber detail around the wrist and the synthetic rubber/plastic on the dorsal side of the gloves contain di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value 16% and 14% by weight respectively). Children may be exposed to the DEHP in the gloves when they are wearing them or if, for example, they touch their face or put them in the mouth to take them off. DEHP may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to the reproductive system.
