Risk Description
The product poses a risk for the environment because the plastic jigs contain between 0.017 - 0.056 % cadmium. In addition, the article contains the phthalate DEHP up to 46% by weight that is on the Candidate List. The placing on the market of PVC plastic articles containing more than 0.01 % of cadmium is banned. Cadmium is harmful to the environment and to human health because it accumulates in the body, can damage organs and it may cause cancer. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
