Iron was recalled on 31 October 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 1241/08. Electric shock, Health risk / other risk reported by Spain. The product poses a risk of electric shock because: - the conductors are correctly connected in the system but the earth and neutral terminals have been incorrectly indicated, causing a risk of electric shock when the power cable is replaced,- the users' manual does not include the following warnings: "users must not leave the iron unattended when connected to the power supply"; "the iron must be used and set down on a stable surface";and poses a health risk because before activating the heat protection device, the appliance emits smoke in dangerous quantities, causing a risk of intoxication.
