The product poses a chemical risk because: - tracing foil contains 26.8% by weight of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP),- light rose foil contains 8% by weight of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and 21.7% by weight of di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP), - dark rose foil contains 27.2% by weight of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). According to the Chemicals Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC, the allowed max. for phthalates in toys and childcare articles is 0,1%. The product may come into contact with a child’s lips and mouth and the restricted chemicals may get into saliva and can be swallowed. Phthalates may cause harm to an unborn child and possibly pose a risk of impaired fertility. Phthalates have a negative impact on the development of male/female reproductive organs.
