Infant car seat was recalled on 17 July 2009 under EU Safety Gate alert 0940/09. Injuries risk reported by Germany. The product poses a risk of injuries because: - the plastic cap which is designed to hide the screws prevents the user from seeing if the screws are missing and, if this is the case, there is the danger that the handle detaches itself and the seat and child may fall;- the car seat may be clicked on to the frame of a pram but in some cases the mechanism does not fit correctly into the pram frame.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of injuries because: - the plastic cap which is designed to hide the screws prevents the user from seeing if the screws are missing and, if this is the case, there is the danger that the handle detaches itself and the seat and child may fall;- the car seat may be clicked on to the frame of a pram but in some cases the mechanism does not fit correctly into the pram frame. This may cause the infant car seat to fall off the frame with the result that the child gets hurt.This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 12790.

Product Description

The infant car seat has a handle for carrying which is screwed into the left and right-hand side of the car seat. The screws are covered by black plastic caps so cannot be seen from the outside. Colours: yellow, red, black, blue or sand.
