Risk Description
The vehicles involved were erroneously included in a recall to replace the driver air bag inflator. This resulted in the inflator being replaced with one that is not designed for the vehicle's driver air bag system. As a consequence, in the event of a crash where the airbags are deployed, the driver air bag may not inflate as intended, increasing the risk of injury for the driver.
