Risk Description
1. Problem with hinges: Because of the incorrect construction of the hinges, the ladder becomes unstable when it is set upright and can collapse. 2. Problem with straps: The straps which are supposed to prevent the ladder from sliding apart are made from material which is not resistant to ageing. They lose almost 100% of their tensile strength within a very short time (one year). 16 accidents have happened so far.
