Heizlüfter was recalled on 12 July 2024 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/01805/24. Asphyxiation, Fire risk reported by Germany. If the air supply is restricted, the product being covered or similar, the thermal cut-out and the temperature limiter do not react and fail to shut the fan heater down.

Risk Description
If the air supply is restricted, the product being covered or similar, the thermal cut-out and the temperature limiter do not react and fail to shut the fan heater down. The fan heater will consequently overheat, causing fire and by standers to asphyxiate. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive nor with the European standard EN 60335-2-30:
