Halogen lamp - “Baya” halogen lamp was recalled on 2 November 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 1142/07. Electric shock risk reported by France. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- access to the simple insulation conductors,- the grounding terminal for the dimmer casing is not protected against unscrewing,- internal cables and external cables are connected in the same terminals, - it does not provide additional insulation without touching a metal part connected to the ground.

Risk Description

The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- access to the simple insulation conductors,- the grounding terminal for the dimmer casing is not protected against unscrewing,- internal cables and external cables are connected in the same terminals, - it does not provide additional insulation without touching a metal part connected to the ground. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Halogen lamp on a chrome-coloured base:- 2 bulbs – 300W and 40W,- Matte nickel + frosted glass, - Double dimmer on lamp shaft, - Number of lights: 2, - Bulb: R7S-300W supplied,- G9-40W supplied, - Class II DIMENSIONS,- Total height: 180 cm.
