Hair straightener was recalled on 29 June 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0618/07. Burns, Fire risk reported by Greece. This product poses a serious risk of burns and fire because deviations from the applicable standard can cause overheating of: - the plastic area above the heating elements that can be easily touched by the user (91,6 °C while limit is 81,4 °C);- the buttons for the change of the elements (105,9 °C measured while limit is 81,6 °C).

Risk Description

This product poses a serious risk of burns and fire because deviations from the applicable standard can cause overheating of: - the plastic area above the heating elements that can be easily touched by the user (91,6 °C while limit is 81,4 °C);- the buttons for the change of the elements (105,9 °C measured while limit is 81,6 °C).One incident has been reported.This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.

Product Description

White straightening iron with pink edges intended for hair treatment. The product is packed in red-white cardboard box, with the picture of product and the indication “Professional Hair Straightener” on it. Technical characteristics: 220-230V AC, 35W.
