Risk Description

The plug detaches easily from the microphone, generating a small part. A small child may put it in the mouth and choke. In addition, the electric cord of the microphone is too long, yet the packaging lacks an appropriate warning concerning the risk of strangulation.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Recommended action

Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
