The exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) cooler can be susceptible to thermal fatigue. The exhaust gases can interact with air and other hydrocarbons in the system, which can cause combustion in the inlet manifold. This can lead the vehicle to catch fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
