Glitter Night Light was recalled on 22 December 2006 under EU Safety Gate alert 0841/06. Burns, Electric shock risk reported by United Kingdom. The product poses a risk of electric shock and burns because:- the plug has no fuse contrary to requirements and therefore overheating in an overload or fault condition is likely;- internal connections are not permanent and non-rewirable plug can be separated with a general purpose tool;- it is possible to change the lamp whilst the nightlight is plugged into a socket; - the nightlight shade is shaped in a way likely to be used as a toy by children; - the nightlight is likely to be plugged into a low level socket making access easy for children to the hot lamp and therefore a burn hazard is evident.
