Glass oil lamp was recalled on 14 May 2010 under EU Safety Gate alert 0761/10. Chemical risk reported by Germany. The product poses a chemical risk because the top of the lamp can be easily opened and the entire wick holder is no longer attached to the jar and therefore no longer child-safe.

Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because the top of the lamp can be easily opened and the entire wick holder is no longer attached to the jar and therefore no longer child-safe. The glass contains paraffin which can be swallowed by children and cause chemical pneumonia.The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14059.
