Risk Description
The product poses a risk of fire because of self-ignition of the gas.The gas fire had been installed as part of a building project and had then been masked off to protect it during decoration. Following self-ignition the instruction booklet showed signs of having burned through, smouldering and the handset was partially melted. One reported case of damage which relates to the self-ignition of a fire in circumstances where the handset was still in the wrapper.
