Gas barbecue was recalled on 11 March 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0226/11. Fire risk reported by Slovenia. The product poses a risk of fire because the ignition and cross lighting do not occur smoothly and there are sections on the burner where there is no flame and unburned gas leaks out on to the ground.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of fire because the ignition and cross lighting do not occur smoothly and there are sections on the burner where there is no flame and unburned gas leaks out on to the ground. Accumulated unburned gas on the ground could catch fire or explode leading to injuries of the user of the appliance.The product does not comply with the Gas Appliances Directive and the relevant European standard EN 498.
