Four seasons hair spray was recalled on 19 December 2025 under EU Safety Gate alert SR/04352/25. Chemical risk reported by Czechia. According to the list of ingredients, the product contains 2-(4-tert-butylbenzyl) propionaldehyde (BMHCA), which is prohibited in cosmetic products.

Risk Description

According to the list of ingredients, the product contains 2-(4-tert-butylbenzyl) propionaldehyde (BMHCA), which is prohibited in cosmetic products. BMHCA may damage the reproductive system, harm the health of the unborn child and cause skin sensitisation. The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation
