Floodlight "Technics" was recalled on 23 September 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0979/11. Fire risk reported by Finland. The product poses a risk of fire because:- the temperature of the mounting surface next to the light bulb is 188°C, whereas the maximum allowed temperature is 90°C.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of fire because:- the temperature of the mounting surface next to the light bulb is 188°C, whereas the maximum allowed temperature is 90°C. - the temperature of the internal wiring next to the reflector is 365 ºC, whereas the maximum allowed temperature is 180 ºC.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
