Risk Description

The area where log splitting takes place is not protected adequately. A user may introduce his hand or a finger in the area and have it cut by the blades, or have his palm crushed by the machinery. Furthermore, the product is not correctly insulated against ingress of water; hence, the product may short-circuit and the user may receive an electric shock. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive nor with the European standard EN 609-1.
