Extension cord
Extension cord was recalled on 27 April 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0377/07. Electric shock, Fire, Injuries risk reported by Czechia. The product poses a risk of electric shock, fire and injuries because :- the earthing hole is wrongly connected by a light-blue wire;- dimensions of the two-pole plug with two protective contacts are out of tolerance;-diameter of the pin is 4,66 and 4,49, which does not comply with the required diameter of 4,8±0,06 mm;- the multiple portable socket-outlet has no cord anchorage;- the cross-sectional area of conductors of the supply cord is insufficient.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock, fire and injuries because :- the earthing hole is wrongly connected by a light-blue wire;- dimensions of the two-pole plug with two protective contacts are out of tolerance;-diameter of the pin is 4,66 and 4,49, which does not comply with the required diameter of 4,8±0,06 mm;- the multiple portable socket-outlet has no cord anchorage;- the cross-sectional area of conductors of the supply cord is insufficient.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant standards.
