Electronic mini chargers –- 1) Mini travel charger electronic 2) Fast Mini Charger was recalled on 5 September 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0980/08. Electric shock risk reported by Slovakia. The products poses a risk of electric shock because:- the construction of the converter does not comply with the requirements for safe separation of primary winding from secondary winding, - clearances and creepage distances do not comply with requirements for double insulation, - the length of the conductors enables by-passing of double insulation in the case of connector release, and a possibility of the presence of mains voltage on the exit connector, - the size of the plug does not comply with requirements, – the requirements for reinforced insulation between the output connector and mains plug for double insulation are not met,- the product does not comply with the electromagnetic emission requirements.

Risk Description
