Electrical cable reel
Electrical cable reel was recalled on 3 August 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0745/07. Fire risk reported by France. This product poses a risk of fire because:- the cable reel does not have a thermal cut-out, a current limiter or a weak point to ensure protection against excessive temperatures; - the labelling of the product does not comply with the standard (the marking 10-16A/250 V must be replaced with 16A/250 V);- the data plate does not list the characteristics of the detachable extension lead used, and rated current as well as model of the plug and socket are not clearly visible.
