Electric water heater was recalled on 23 September 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0962/11. Electric shock risk reported by Romania. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the plug is made of two parts which are improperly fastened and water could get inside;- the power cord consists of two wires which are under-dimensioned and improperly insulated;- it is not earthed.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the plug is made of two parts which are improperly fastened and water could get inside;- the power cord consists of two wires which are under-dimensioned and improperly insulated;- it is not earthed.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
