Electric touch lamp was recalled on 3 January 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0890/06. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because: - sharp edges protrude into the wireways;- the basic insulated wires get into contact with accessible metal parts;- the insulation is not appropriate since flashover occurs;- the cross-section area of the core is less than required (0,5 mm2);- there is no cord anchorage preventing wires at the connection from pulling and twisting;- the wires can get damaged because they are not protected at the cable inlet.

Risk Description
