The product poses a risk of :- electric shock since after the thermal test the electric strength of the insulation decreases, and the majority of the information related to electric safety is missing from the instructions for use;- fire because during the thermal test the planer caught fire;- injuries because the product is not protected against unintentional operating, the switch can be locked in switched-on position and the instructions for use do not include the majority of the general and several specific instructions related with the safe use.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of :- electric shock since after the thermal test the electric strength of the insulation decreases, and the majority of the information related to electric safety is missing from the instructions for use;- fire because during the thermal test the planer caught fire;- injuries because the product is not protected against unintentional operating, the switch can be locked in switched-on position and the instructions for use do not include the majority of the general and several specific instructions related with the safe use. This product does not comply with the Machinery Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 60745.

Product Description
The product has a plastic cover and the surface contacting the material to be treated is made of aluminium. The button setting the depth of planning also serves as a grip. The appliance neither has an automatically closing protecting shield nor a lowering device. The machine can be operated by pressing a button, where it can be locked. By pressing the button again the lock is released, and the planer will switch off if the button is released. Main parts of the device: mains plug with inscription "10/16A 250V FY-007" + VDE; mains cable with inscription "H05VV-F 2X0,75mm2" + VDE ; one-circuit switch with inscription "6(4) 250V~5E4 C300307A" + TÜV. Technical specification: 230V~50Hz; 710W; 16000 r/min; width and depth of cutting: 82x2mm, Class II.
