Electric insect killer "Electron Go Out Mosquito" was recalled on 1 July 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0604/11. Burns, Electric shock risk reported by Malta. The product poses a risk of burns and electric shock because:- the plastic grid is not sufficiently rigid to prevent touching the charged grid;- the plastic grid can be removed easily without the use of a tool;- when the power supply is disconnected, the capacitor in the appliance remains charged.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of burns and electric shock because:- the plastic grid is not sufficiently rigid to prevent touching the charged grid;- the plastic grid can be removed easily without the use of a tool;- when the power supply is disconnected, the capacitor in the appliance remains charged.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
