Risk Description
The product poses a risk of fire because dust collecting on the heater element can prevent air flow through the element and cause overheating. This overheating is far enough away from the thermal cut outs that they do not operate, however the temperature rise in the immediate vicinity is sufficient to cause the plastic casing to melt. 46 incidents reported.
