Electric fan was recalled on 5 March 2010 under EU Safety Gate alert 0406/10. Electric shock, Fire, Injuries risk reported by Cyprus. The product poses a risk of fire injuries and electric shock because:- the conductors of the supply cord are consolidated by soldering where they are subject to contact pressure which could lead to a bad electrical contact;- there are sharp edges on the base support;- the supply cord is not constrained with a cord anchorage.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of fire injuries and electric shock because:- the conductors of the supply cord are consolidated by soldering where they are subject to contact pressure which could lead to a bad electrical contact;- there are sharp edges on the base support;- the supply cord is not constrained with a cord anchorage.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
