Risk Description
The rate of nickel release is too high (measured values up to 1.3 µg/cm2/week). Moreover, the product has an excessive concentration of lead (measured values up to 0.29 % by weight). Nickel is a strong sensitiser and causes allergic reactions if present in articles that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin. Lead is harmful to human health, accumulates in the body and may affect breast-fed or unborn children. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
