Risk Description
The steering system may lack adequate corrosion protection and could severely corrode over time. As a result, the housing of the steering system may develop cracks or suffer material damage. This could lead to a loss of gear mesh between the rack and pinion, potentially resulting in a failure of the steering function, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
