Risk Description
The product poses a risk of drowning because the flow restricting insert may dislodge from the hose and move to the second stage where it could cause an obstruction to the air flow. This could interfere with connected devices including the regulator. Airflow might therefore be reduced which could affect breathing when diving. One incident reported.

Product Description
SI TECH dry suit inflation hoses containing a flow restriction orifice. Consumers will most likely have received the hose as an accessory when purchasing a new dry suit. The hoses containing the affected part were sold during the period: 26 June 2006 – 26 February 2009. The insert is black, blue or green.
