Risk Description
The black rubber grips contain 2.2 % of short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCP) and the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) chrysene (measured value: 7.5 mg/kg). SCCPs persist in the environment and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Chrysene may cause cancer and are suspected of causing genetic effects and is toxic to aquatic life. The product does not comply with the Commission Regulation 850/2004 on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation) and the REACH Regulation.
