Dog leash was recalled on 2 February 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0103/07. Cuts risk reported by Spain. This product poses a serious risk of cuts to the user because it includes in the vicinity of the loop a metal part which is liable to come into contact with the user's hand in the event of sudden tension on the leash produced by sudden, uncontrolled movement by the animal.

Risk Description
This product poses a serious risk of cuts to the user because it includes in the vicinity of the loop a metal part which is liable to come into contact with the user's hand in the event of sudden tension on the leash produced by sudden, uncontrolled movement by the animal. Thus in normal use of this product, the user may suffer cuts and injuries of differing degrees to the hand. Although the lesions caused may generally be slight, the probability of their occurrence is high, and the risk is considered serious given that the danger is not obvious and there are no warnings of it. One accident has been reported in which the user suffered wounds to his right hand when the dog pulled on the leash.
