Desk lamps with mosaic lamp shade was recalled on 8 December 2006 under EU Safety Gate alert 0798/06. Electric shock, Injuries risk reported by Hungary. These products poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- there are sharp metal parts protruding into the wireways,- the fastening screw of the lamp holder is not secured against rotation,- there is no cord anchorage applied protecting the wires against pulling and twisting force.

Risk Description
These products poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- there are sharp metal parts protruding into the wireways,- the fastening screw of the lamp holder is not secured against rotation,- there is no cord anchorage applied protecting the wires against pulling and twisting force. This product poses also a serious risk of injury since sharp edges were found on the external surface of the lamp shade. In addition Sample 2 tipped over during the tests.These products do not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the LVD standard.
