Risk Description

This product poses a serious risk of injuries because: - the rocking system has a locking mechanism which could be operated with a residual force of lower than 50 N. The piece of wood used as a brake is not secured and it was not possible to measure the force needed to unlock the rocking system because the piece became dislodged with a gentle tap. This could enable a small child to release the crib while a baby is in it, creating the potential for it to overturn when a child pushes it inadvertently, which could cause the baby to fall;- one of the top parts became detached, revealing low resistance to impact and opening up a space in which a baby’s fingers could become trapped;- there is no marking : "Warning: do not use when child is able to sit, kneel or stand up unaided". This warning is intended to prevent the risk of falls, since cribs are usually designed for very small children and are not safe for children who can stand up or climb out, as they may topple over; and of suffocation because the average thickness of the packaging is 0.028 mm (lower than the minimum of 0.038 mm) and there is no warning on the risk of suffocation. This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 1130.
