An internal short circuit in the battery may have the following effects: the battery swells to up to twice its thickness, overheats and reaches high temperatures which may cause fire damage.

Risk Description
An internal short circuit in the battery may have the following effects: the battery swells to up to twice its thickness, overheats and reaches high temperatures which may cause fire damage. This occurs only if the battery is inserted in the handset and connected to the power supply via the charger.
