Cordless kettle was recalled on 17 July 2009 under EU Safety Gate alert 0945/09. Burns, Electric shock risk reported by Poland. The product poses a risk of burns and electric shock because of:- the use of incorrect material for thermal connection (thermal switch-off), which means the kettle can become deformed and allow water to leak;- the use of inappropriate material in the wires and conductors and unsuitable length of wires.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of burns and electric shock because of:- the use of incorrect material for thermal connection (thermal switch-off), which means the kettle can become deformed and allow water to leak;- the use of inappropriate material in the wires and conductors and unsuitable length of wires.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.

Product Description
A cordless kettle for minimum 0.5 and maximum 2 litres of water. The product is coloured light green. The packaging is a cardboard box with a picture of the product on the side. The packaging is marked as follows: “Made in China”, CE mark, GS mark, B mark. There is no EAN number on the packaging.
