Coffee maker was recalled on 12 January 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0014/07. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- due to inappropriate insulation flashover occurs between the live and accessible parts;- in case of damage, the water can leak from the non-metal pipes to the electric insulation and live parts; - the cord anchorage has sharp shoulders therefore the insulation of the wire can get damaged.

Risk Description
The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- due to inappropriate insulation flashover occurs between the live and accessible parts;- in case of damage, the water can leak from the non-metal pipes to the electric insulation and live parts; - the cord anchorage has sharp shoulders therefore the insulation of the wire can get damaged.
