Christmas lighting chain was recalled on 14 March 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0296/08. Electric shock risk reported by Lithuania. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the nominal cross-section of the external and internal wirings, 0,09 mm2 and 0,047 mm2, is less than the ≥0,5 mm2 required by the Standard,- the cable failed to withstand the tensile test,- lampshades are loose in the lamp-holders.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the nominal cross-section of the external and internal wirings, 0,09 mm2 and 0,047 mm2, is less than the ≥0,5 mm2 required by the Standard,- the cable failed to withstand the tensile test,- lampshades are loose in the lamp-holders.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
