This product poses a risk of suffocation because the black plastic tab at the end of the shoe laces comes unstuck from the laces when pulled and, in exceptional circumstances, could present a choking risk to very young children.

Product Description
Only children’s US shoe sizes 7-12 are affected by the potential safety issue (equivalent European sizes 23 – 29).The affected models of shoes come in a range of colours. A label carrying the stock number can be found on the inside tongue of the shoes. Notices to consumers will incorporate the photographs and instruct them to check the brand and the stock number to see if they have an affected product.

About this risk
This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth.
Recommended action
Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer.
Who is at risk?
Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
