Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because the quantities of di-"isononyl" phthalate (DINP) and bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) exceed the maximum permitted level 0.1%: - the red plastic handles release 22% by weight of DEHP, - the black plastic handles release12% by weight of DEHP and 1.9% by weight of DINP. According to the Chemical Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC, certain phthalates in toys are prohibited.
