Risk Description

The product poses a risk of:- choking because the decorative metal parts detach easily and can be swallowed by a child,- strangulation and injuries as it has cords with free ends in the neck area.The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14682.

Product Description

Children’s dress, with a halter neck and cords in the neck area. There is a coloured printed pattern of butterflies, flowers and attached sequins. On the front there is a sun made of textile and attached sequins. Composition: 100% cotton, made in China. The product is sold without packaging.

This recall involves a choking, injuries, strangulation hazard related to Children’s dress.

About this risk

Choking: This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth. Injuries: This product has a design or manufacturing defect that can cause physical injuries such as cuts, bruises, fractures, or other bodily harm during normal use. Strangulation: This product contains cords, strings, loops, or other elements that can wrap around a child's neck and cause strangulation.

Recommended action

Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Injuries: Stop using the product immediately. Check yourself and family members for any injuries. Store the product safely out of reach and contact the retailer or manufacturer for a replacement or refund. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
