Children’s bicycle was recalled on 25 November 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 1318/11. Injuries risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a risk of injuries because:- the luggage carrier of the bike has sharp edges that can cause cuts;- the handlebar grips do not have enlarged diameter ends;- the bike is not equipped with a front-wheel braking system, increasing the braking time; - the chainguard does not completely cover the edge of the chain and clothing may get caught as a result.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of injuries because:- the luggage carrier of the bike has sharp edges that can cause cuts;- the handlebar grips do not have enlarged diameter ends;- the bike is not equipped with a front-wheel braking system, increasing the braking time; - the chainguard does not completely cover the edge of the chain and clothing may get caught as a result. The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14765.

Product Description

Silver-blue, 12” children's bicycle with metal frame, backpedal-break, mudguards, luggage carrier and support wheels. The chainguard does not completely cover the edge of the chain. The bike is not equipped with a front-wheel braking system.
