Children's bicycle – baby bike 14" Olanda was recalled on 6 July 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0624/07. Injuries risk reported by Belgium. This product poses a serious risk of injuries because:- during the anti-phase fatigue test on the handlebar (100 000 cycles), the handlebar broke after 30 627 cycles;- during the fatigue test on the fork (100 000 cycles), the fork broke after 21 330 cycles;- during the impact test involving dropping a weight on the frame-fork assembly (the permitted maximum is 20 mm), a permanent deformation of 25 mm was observed;- during the vertical and horizontal static test on the saddle, the maximum load obtained was 248 N, instead of 300 N.

Risk Description
This product poses a serious risk of injuries because:- during the anti-phase fatigue test on the handlebar (100 000 cycles), the handlebar broke after 30 627 cycles;- during the fatigue test on the fork (100 000 cycles), the fork broke after 21 330 cycles;- during the impact test involving dropping a weight on the frame-fork assembly (the permitted maximum is 20 mm), a permanent deformation of 25 mm was observed;- during the vertical and horizontal static test on the saddle, the maximum load obtained was 248 N, instead of 300 N. During the vertical and horizontal static test on the stabilisers, the vertical load test produced deformations under load in excess of 25 mm (54 and 60 mm), and the longitudinal load test produced permanent deformations in excess of 15 mm (27 and 34 mm).
