The product poses a risk of :- suffocation as the ventilation holes are not situated at the minimum distance from the edge of the fastener,- choking because the silver-plating can come off the fastener at a force of less than 90 N,- cuts because more than 50% of the silver-plating area can be easily broken and reveal sharp edges.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of :- suffocation as the ventilation holes are not situated at the minimum distance from the edge of the fastener,- choking because the silver-plating can come off the fastener at a force of less than 90 N,- cuts because more than 50% of the silver-plating area can be easily broken and reveal sharp edges.The product does not comply with the relevant European standards EN 12586 and EN 71.

Product Description
Three chains for soothers with silver-plated fasteners. One fastener has a picture of a horse (model 4MO-DH004B), one a picture of a bear with a baby's bottle (model 4MO-DH001B) and one has a picture of a fawn (model 4MO-DH003B).

Recommended action

Suffocation: Remove the product and any packaging from the child's reach immediately. If a child is having difficulty breathing, call emergency services. Dispose of plastic packaging safely.
Who is at risk?
Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. All users, especially young children who may not recognise sharp edges. Infants and toddlers are at highest risk. Never leave plastic bags or soft materials in a sleeping area.
