Ceramic table lamp was recalled on 3 August 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0756/07. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. This product poses a risk of electric shock because: - the lamp holder and the nut are not protected against loosening and rotation;- there is no effective cord anchorage;- the cable can get damaged at the nipple (since it is not protected with bushing).

Risk Description

Product Description
The external cover of the base part of the table lamp is made of ceramic. The plastic E14 lamp holder is placed on it, where the plastic lamp-shade can be fixed. The luminaire is provided with PHILIPS light source (230V, 24W). Main parts of the luminaire: E 14 lampholder with inscriptions: "Z 6730 2/250" + marks of approval; switch inserted into the cable with inscriptions: "AC R307 2.5/250 CE"; mains plug "ZD-01 2.5A 250V~"+ marks of approval; mains cable with inscriptions: "CCC 2002010105015792 227 IEC 52 (RVV) 300/300V GB5023.5 ?1997 VDE H03VVH2-F 2x0.75mm2 300/300V XINYA"+marks of approval. Technical specification: 230 V~, 50 Hz, max. 40 W E14, Class II. IP20.
