Caterpillar Puffer Ball was recalled on 11 April 2014 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0523/14. Choking risk reported by Spain. The toys pose a risk of choking due to the presence of small parts (such as the eyes of the caterpillar, the nose of the hedgehog and parts of the balls) which can be easily detached and swallowed by small children.

Risk Description

The toys pose a risk of choking due to the presence of small parts (such as the eyes of the caterpillar, the nose of the hedgehog and parts of the balls) which can be easily detached and swallowed by small children.The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

Soft plastic toys in the form of caterpillars, hedgehogs and balls, containing a round device which emits coloured flashing lights when the toys are dropped on the ground. The products are packaged in cardboard boxes.
