C-Crosser was recalled on 14 November 2014 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/1790/14. Injuries risk reported by Greece. In all vehicles, silicone grease may have contaminated the brake lamp switch contacts; this can prevent the stop lamps operating when the footbrake is applied.

Risk Description
In all vehicles, silicone grease may have contaminated the brake lamp switch contacts; this can prevent the stop lamps operating when the footbrake is applied.In vehicles produced between 01/11/2007 to 29/05/2009, the defective material of the accessory drive belt could damage the pulleys, which may result in faulty warning lamp illumination, battery depletion, loss of power steering and engine overheating.
