Bulb holder was recalled on 23 April 2010 under EU Safety Gate alert 0689/10. Electric shock, Fire risk reported by Spain. The products pose a risk of electric shock and fire because:- the bulb cap is accessible when it becomes live during insertion,- bulbs cannot be conveniently screwed into the bulb holder, - the dome of the bulb holder can be removed without the aid of a tool, giving access to live parts,- the threaded entry to the bulb holder cannot be locked on the conduit.

Risk Description
The products pose a risk of electric shock and fire because:- the bulb cap is accessible when it becomes live during insertion,- bulbs cannot be conveniently screwed into the bulb holder, - the dome of the bulb holder can be removed without the aid of a tool, giving access to live parts,- the threaded entry to the bulb holder cannot be locked on the conduit. The products do not comply with the relevant European standard EN 60238.
