Risk Description
The product has an excessive concentration of cadmium and lead (measured values: up to 0.005% and 0.4% by weight, respectively), and releases an excessive amount of nickel (measured values: 1.3µg/cm²/week). Cadmium and lead are harmful to human health because they accumulate in the body; furthermore, cadmium can damage the kidneys and bones, and it may cause cancer, while lead can cause developmental neurotoxicity and may also affect breast-fed or unborn children. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
